A Personal Message from Our Founder:
For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to be a veterinarian. Over the past 17 years, I’ve worked as both a primary care and emergency veterinarian, alongside board-certified specialists. Throughout this journey, I’ve often reflected on what truly matters—both as a pet parent and a veterinarian. As a pet parent, I deeply value ensuring my cat, Gnocchi, has timely access to trusted, compassionate care that prioritizes her comfort and well-being. As a veterinarian, I’m committed to building a skilled, principled team dedicated to providing exceptional care that genuinely improves the lives of pets and their families.
Today, veterinary care is becoming increasingly difficult to access, and emergency clinics are often overwhelmed with long wait times. This reality inspired me to found My Animal Veterinary Clinic—a modern, efficient hospital where pets receive the care they deserve without unnecessary delays. My vision is to provide accessible healthcare that goes beyond the exam room, using innovative digital tools for earlier interventions, improved communication, and, when possible, convenient care from the comfort of your home.
Together with the incredible team at My Animal, we are on a mission to meet the growing demand for veterinary care while delivering unparalleled service. We are committed to making veterinary care more accessible and creating an environment where pets feel safe, comfortable, and supported.
I am truly excited to be on this journey, offering the highest standard of care and, most importantly, spending my days surrounded by the animals we all love. Thank you for trusting us with your beloved pets. We look forward to partnering with you in their health and happiness.
With warmth and gratitude,
Dr. Tanya Fournier, DVM, Founder

Dr. Tanya Fournier
Veterinarian/Founder
Dr. Fournier is passionate about helping families provide the best care possible, fulfilling the growing need for accessible and comprehensive care. She brings over 17 years of veterinary medicine and surgical experience, including emergency care.
Following graduation from the Ontario Veterinary College, she began working in Toronto, a city she’s proudly called home for many years. While raising two little humans, alongside her spouse, she enjoys travelling, playing hockey and tennis, and spending time with her family and friends. Her home would not be complete without her rescued cat, Gnocchi the Bengal.
Stephanie
Registered Veterinary Technician
A skilled and educated registered veterinary technician, Steph graduated from Ridgetown College, University of Guelph and has dedicated over 22 years to providing compassionate care for family pets. As an RVT, Steph has a special focus on animal behaviour and is passionate about using “Fear Free” techniques to make every pet’s visit as comfortable as possible. When she’s not at the clinic, you can find her working out, travelling, doing jigsaw puzzles (with a podcast on), reading, and being the fun Auntie in the family. Though her beloved dog Nelly passed from cancer two years ago, she carries Nelly’s spirit forward as she cheers for the Buffalo Bills. She’s also a big fan of HGTV, knows her dog breed trivia inside out, and can quote Seinfeld in her sleep.
Felicia
Veterinary Assistant
With over 18 years of experience in both general practice and emergency animal hospitals, Felicia brings a wealth of knowledge and genuine care to the veterinary team. Previously working in an office job, she eventually followed her passion for animal care—a career change she describes as one of the best decisions of her life. Since then, Felicia has completed multiple veterinary assistant certifications and continues to pursue training to stay current in her field. Known for her special fondness for Great Danes, she approaches every case with a broad perspective and heartfelt dedication. Outside of work, Felicia enjoys gymnastics, loves a good round of golf, and spends time with her two (not so small) danes.
Amanda
Veterinary Assistant
Amanda brings a unique blend of farm-grown experience and formal training to the veterinary field, having grown up surrounded by dairy cows, goats, chickens, rabbits, ducks, and even peacocks! She graduated as an Environmental Technician from Canadore College and went on to complete Animal Care and Advanced Animal Care programs at Sheridan College. With four years of experience in both general and emergency practice, she’s currently working toward her goal of becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician, with a future specialty in dermatology for small animals. Outside of work, you’ll find Amanda hiking with her dogs, Everest (Labrador) and Vonder (Cane Corso mix), or relaxing at home with her cats, Clyde, Lucifer, and Milo. A Harry Potter fan and avid Lego builder, she also makes regular weekend visits to the zoo to fuel her love for animals and nature.
Marianna
Host
With over 25 years of experience in the veterinary field, Marianna brings both a deep understanding of animal behaviour and a warm, friendly approach to every visitor at the clinic. Holding a BA in Psychology from the University of Guelph and a Diploma in Renewable Resources from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, Marianna has a unique perspective on animal wellness. Marianna has also completed a Wolf Behaviour Practicum at Wolfpark in Indiana. Outside of work, Marianna enjoys bird watching, reading, and photographing animals (wait, she does this at work too!), and shares a home with two beloved cats, Colin Feral and Bikini, who never fail to bring a smile to her face.
Dr. Hailey Hoffman
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Hoffman is a compassionate and experienced veterinarian who graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2020 and completed a small animal rotating internship before spending four years in emergency medicine. Passionate about advancing animal welfare and staying current with veterinary innovations, Dr. Hoffman brings a calm, thoughtful approach to every patient. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys travelling, staying active, and spending time with her rescue dog Stevie—who keeps her laughing with his backyard digging antics. Fun fact: Dr. Hoffman has skydived twice and dreams of one day having a pygmy goat named Pickles. Whether she’s caring for your pet in the clinic or chasing sunsets abroad, Dr. Hoffman leads with curiosity, compassion, and a whole lot of heart. We’re thrilled to have her on our team—and we know you and your pets will love her too.
